Faculty

Gandhi College is managed by a management committee consisting of residents of the village and the surrounding areas. The members of the management committee represent local farmers and intellectuals from that region. The manager of the college is Mr. Shriram Shukla who holds a B. Com. Degree from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and has lived for a few years in the USA on a permanent resident visa. He has made a commitment to work for rural development in India. The Rector of Gandhi College is Professor S.P. Upadhyay who has a distinguished career in education and research. Dr. A. K. Singh who was a lecturer in J. J. College, Bihar, for more than 16 years, is the Principal of the college.

At present, seven subjects in Arts faculty are being taught at the college: Home Science, English, Geography, Hindi, Sociology, Political Science and Ancient History. In addition to the classes on Home Science, several vocational training programs (handicrafts, tailoring, sewing, etc.) have been introduced.
